All of our business products and consulting services are offered at a Fixed Price... and we guarantee to complete our work in the time and for the price offered.
Most programs can be completed in less than 6 weeks and cost less than $50,000.
What do you mean by “Fixed Price"?
All of our diagnostic consulting services are based on proven methods and tools. For the price which has been specified for each product (see the Consulting Diagnostics page) we will charge no more. This price includes all consulting work, all travel and all expenses for work undertaken within Australia and New Zealand.
For International engagements the price is as quoted plus airfare, local transport and accommodation which will be charged at cost. There will be no additional fees and charges (except of course any applicable Government taxes which none of us can avoid)
Are there any limits on the scope of the project ?
YES .. of course. Each project assumes, and is costed upon an assumption of up to 20 in-depth interviews, plus a very broad-based survey of a wider audience within your organisation using online tools. In our experience this will approach will unearth the depth of opinion and issues which will allow you to take the actions necessary to align IT with the Business. If you feel that your program requires a broader set of interviews, and if after discussion we both agree that this will add real value to the outcomes then we can expand the interview schedule, and we will determine a fixed price quote for that expanded program of work.
What about consulting services ?
Consulting, Advisory and Business Coaching services are available and will be based on an understanding of your specific requirements and the value that can be produced by working together. As with all of our services, once we have both achieved a clear understanding of the value to be delivered, CTO will quote a fixed price approach (usually with options) and you can choose the solution which most closely matches your desired outcomes.
Do you charge by the hour or by the day ?
No, all of our work is based on understanding what it is that you need assistance with, and how we can specifically add value to your organisation.
What is a D.E.A.R. engagement ?
D.E.A.R. stands for Drop Everything and Respond .... if you have an urgent situation and you require our immediate and undivided attention then we will DROP what we are currently doing, and RESPOND to your immediate and urgent request. There is a minimum charge of AUD$5,000 for a D.E.A.R. request, and this is over and above any other agreement which we may have in place.
Do you have a monthly retainer ?
YES - a retainer can be arranged. A retainer provides access when you need it for "unspecified" work and is usually associated with guidance, mentoring or ad-hoc advice. A retainer does not incorporate project work which is always fixed price. In a retainer arrangement I guarantee to return all phone calls within 90 minutes and all emails within 24 hours.
What are your payment terms ?
The payment terms for Diagnostic Consulting are 50% deposit payable upon commitment to proceed with the engagement, and the balance payable when we submit the final report. All invoices are due and payable within 7 days. For hourly or daily consulting services we will invoice you at the end of each month for work undertaken, and these invoices are due and payable within 7 days. Monthly retainer is due at the beginning of each month.
What about Government Taxes and Charges ?
None of us can avoid our obligations to Government - and so the fees we have quoted require us to add whatever are the applicable Government Taxes and Charges to them. In Australia this means GST (goods and services tax) which is 10%. This amount is added to each invoice, and upon payment of the invoice is passed to the Government (never touched by human hands)
